Viktoriya's Victories

Below you'll see the art I've tried my best to make at least somewhat fun to look at. I make no promises that they're the best thing ever, but eh, I enjoyed making it and I hope you enjoy getting a look-see.

Past the stars, past the circuits

This project was done in the medium: photoshop, it's a rastified image.

The title can be seen above.

Here is the project statement:

In a far flung and distant future, humanity exists on the frontier, the stars above tamed by their space stations the size of suns. It’s in these monoliths of metal and silicon that what’s left of mankind finds itself either the digitized or the operator, those inside the machine and those outside, with only the smallest of flowers to serve for oxygen.

A Wizard's Tower Under a Shattered Moon

This project was done in Adobe Illustrator, it's medium is vector graphics

The title can be seen above.

Here is the project statement:

Here, in a distant land we see the last Wizard’s tower. Here he has made his stand atop the tallest hill, above even the largest redwood of the forever fall, the storm clouds grey and leaden all around his home. There is no one left in this terrible place save him and this dark place of power, beneath the shattered moon he shall claim dominion over all.

The concept for this piece leans heavily on media I have consumed while giving it my own twist, I wanted to go for fantastical but somber view.

People you don't notice.

This project was done in Adobe Audition it's a sonic medium

The title can be seen above.

Here is the project statement:

The theme of my audio piece is “unexpected” and it’s heavily inspired by old noir detective stories, the kind of stories you either watch in black and white or read with a glass of scotch. I found the addition of field recordings to be a touch more difficult than it was worth but I did enjoy adding a kind of earthiness to this project (A project I’m very proud about in all honesty)

Arcade

This project was done in Adobe Premier it's medium is film

The title can be seen above.

Here is the project statement:

I never claimed to be an actress! That said, oh my lord did I have fun with this project. I was going for a kind of mobster/heist kind of film with a silly down-to-earth setting, the kind of movie that borrows heavily from films like Casino and Oceans Eleven but takes its setting from the Sandlot. I think I did a decent job making a parody, that said, I do wish I’d had more time to paint this piece because as it stands, it’s a little… faded in spots. Oh well, I had fun and that counts for a lot!

Coming soon!

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get the animation project done on time, I'd been in northern Minnesota supporting my father following a funeral but I promise the animation will be here soon enough!
